Ingredients
- 45ml Imagin Blue Fusion Gin
- 20ml fresh lemon juice
- 15ml maraschino liqueur (e.g. Luxardo)
- 10ml violet liqueur (e.g. Rothman & Winter; elderflower liqueur as substitute)
- Ice
- Garnish: maraschino cherry

- 01Shake all ingredients with ice.
- 02Double strain into a chilled coupe.

The Story
The Aviation was created in 1916 by Hugo Ensslin at the Hotel Wallick in New York, named for the romance of early flight. The violet liqueur gives it its famous pale blue-purple colour, the colour of sky at altitude. We renamed it. Heaven is not a reference to the past. It is a statement about where this drink is going. Imagin Blue was made for this. The butterfly pea flower and blue lotus echo the violet notes naturally, and the makrut lime lifts the lemon into something brighter and more complex. The original Aviation reached for the sky. This one is already there.
