The Story
Cuba Libre is widely linked to Havana around 1900, when rum and cola were raised as a toast to "free Cuba" after the Spanish American War. The modern problem is that it is usually just sweetness and fizz. Elevated Rum fixes that. Fresh cane notes cut through the cola, molasses warmth holds the centre, and the finish stays cleaner and drier. Same legend, less noise, more authority.
