The Story
Piña Colada is most closely tied to Puerto Rico, with competing origin stories, including claims around San Juan in the 1950s. Regardless of which story you tell, the drink became famous for indulgence. The common failure is cloying sweetness. We tighten it with lime for structure and use Elevated Rum so the finish stays cleaner. You still get coconut and pineapple, but it drinks like an adult made it.
